Opening Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Thank you to everyone who joined us last weekend for Pajarito’s opening weekend. We had a record-breaking opening day, and the conditions were very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed skiing, talking and riding the lift with many of you.
We heard many guests talking about Pajarito’s new scanning system. Going forward, every lift ticket and season pass will be scanned. I understand this adds a step between leaving the lift line and getting on the lift (and know that we’re working hard to get you on the mountain as quickly as we can), although this process is important for our current and future operations. For example, this weekend, thanks to our scanning system, we caught someone with a counterfeit pass. We appreciate your patience as we work out the bugs and make this detail of your ski day as painless and seamless as possible.
I’m excited to announce that Pajarito will re-open again tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday, and just in time for the snow expected to arrive tonight and stick around through Saturday. Even better news: Los Alamos appears to be in the bull’s eye of this winter storm, and we could get up to 12″.
Here is what we will have open this weekend:
7 Beginner Runs (Bonanza, Lone Spruce, East Beginners, West Beginners, Bruce’s Blvd., Zero Road East, Zero Road West)
7 Intermediate Runs (Sundance, Dog Patch, Lil Abner, Daisy Mae, Pussy Cat, Big Mother, Bruce’s Blvd West)
7 Expert Runs (East Mushroom, West Mushroom, Mal’s Run (Racing Slope), Lumberyard, Aspen, Wildcat, Compromise)
Saturday and Sunday:
Everything from Bonanza to the west – which is 32 of our 44 trails, including 8 beginner trails, 8 intermediate trails and 16 expert trails. This includes the Fab Four!
Thanks again to everyone who was a part of our opening weekend. For photos of the weekend, please click here. We will make a decision about additional operating dates beyond this weekend after we evaluate the conditions and the new snow headed our way.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!
