Pajarito Community Benefit Day

Community Benefit Day at Pajarito Mountain will be January 26, 2020. In its first year, Community Benefit Days is a way for Pajarito to give back to the community by donating a portion of lift ticket sales to a local nonprofit. This year’s proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters in Santa Fe. The resort pledges to donate 20 percent of lift ticket sales.

“Providing support to a young person is very gratifying. This organization is very dear to my heart,” said Tom Long, General Manager at Pajarito. “I was once a Big Brother. Big Brothers and Big Sisters continue to work with children in our community that nurtures and supports them through sports, community, contact, homework and sometimes ‘just being there.’”

Big Brothers Big Sisters aims to change health, education, family and the community by matching at-risk children with “Bigs,” volunteer mentors who provide support to help their “Littles” develop the skills and self-confidence they need to reach their full potential.

“We are extremely grateful for the investment in the lives of the children we serve. Pajarito’s support means the world to us.” From David Sherman, Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters. A representative of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Santa Fe will be at Pajarito on January 26th giving out more information and accepting donations.

Pajarito Mountain serves the community by offering a FREE Power Kids Season Pass for children ages 10 and younger which provides unlimited, direct-to-lift access with no blackout dates to Pajarito Mountain, Purgatory Resort, Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort, Arizona Snowbowl, Nordic Valley, Spider Mountain, Brian Head Resort and Hesperus Ski Area. Plus, kids in fifth grade for the 19/20 school year also receive a FREE season pass, valid at Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort, Pajarito Mountain Ski Area and Hesperus. Active duty military members ski FREE or 50% off at Pajarito, with certain blackout dates. Pajarito also works with local nonprofit Mountain Vibz to bring underprivileged kids to learn to ski and snowboard.
