Nearly 8 Million Gallons in the Pond!
There’s a lot of water on this mountain right now!
Based on our pump logs, we’re estimating our holding pond has close to 8 million gallons of captured water, which is the most this pond has ever held – and it’s still filling. We’ve been pumping non-stop since Tuesday, and the County tank is filling just as fast as we’re drawing it down. At this rate, we could fill all 10 million gallons by the end of the summer!
And the good news keeps coming: According to the most recent statement by NOAA, our region (including New Mexico, southern Colorado, Arizona and California) is anticipated to see above average precipitation and below average temperatures this winter. Click here to read NOAA’s full statement.
