Summer at the Little Bird: Everything You Need to Know About Our 2025 Season

Hey Pajarito family!

It’s almost time. After months of planning, trail work, and a ton of anticipation on our part, summer 2025 at Pajarito Mountain is about to kick off!

June 6: The Day We’ve All Been Waiting For

Mark your calendars, set your alarms, maybe even take a personal day—Friday, June 6 is when everything starts happening at once. Our lifts fire up for lift-served mountain biking and downhill hiking, AND the Mountain Cafe opens its doors for the season. It’s like Christmas morning, but with more dirt and significantly better coffee.

Weekend Warriors, This One’s For You

Here’s how summer rolls at Pajarito:

Lift-served biking & hiking: Saturdays and Sundays, 9 AM – 4 PM
Mountain Cafe: Fridays 11 AM – 3 PM, weekends 9 AM – 3 PM
Lift tickets: Starting at $27 (because adventure shouldn’t break the bank)
MTB Power Pass Starts at just $149

And here’s the cool part—we’re introducing our Bird Bucks program this summer. Every bike lift ticket comes with $10 in free resort credit you can use at the cafe or our mountain store. Fuel up, gear up, whatever you need to keep the good times rolling.

Opening Weekend = Championship Level Awesome

We’re not messing around with our season opener. Downhill Rockies is bringing their race series to Pajarito for an enduro competition, which means riders from all over the country will be sessioning our trails opening weekend – but trails are still open to the public, since this race takes place all over the mountain. If you’ve ever wondered how our mountain stacks up against the competition, this is your chance to see some serious talent put our terrain to the test.

The Road Situation (AKA Why This Actually Works Out Perfect)

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room—Camp May Road construction. Yes, it’s happening Monday through Thursday. But here’s the thing: the road reopens every Thursday at 5 PM, just in time for our weekend operations. You get your weekend mountain fix, the construction crews get their weekday work time, everybody wins.

Trail Updates That’ll Make You Smile

Our volunteer trail crew doesn’t mess around. While you were probably binge-watching Netflix this off-season, they were out there raking, clearing, fixing, and generally making our trails even more amazing than they already were.

Bad news: the famous Corkscrew had to be dismantled. The good news? Our trail crew is dreaming up something rad and new for that section of trail.

Oh, and bike rentals and repairs are available daily, multi-day, or weekly through our fully-stocked bike shop. Because sometimes your gear needs as much TLC as you do.

Summerfest: The Party You Don’t Want to Miss

Summerfest is our annual celebration of everything that makes Pajarito special—live music with the band Animal Parade (there will not be an actual Animal Parade, but how fun would that be?), local craft beer, that legendary deck party atmosphere, and the kind of mountain community vibes you can’t fake. It’s family-friendly, it’s authentically Pajarito, and it’s the kind of event that reminds you why this place is so special.
