Welcome to Pajarito Mountain! Expect short lift lines, panoramic views of the Rio Grande Valley (the perfect backdrop for your Instagram photos) and a laid-back vibe that fits families like a glove. With 300 acres of skiable terrain and some of the best tree and bump skiing in the state, there’s something here for everyone.
Here are some tips to help your first day at Pajarito Mountain go smoothly:
Where to Stay. Pajarito Mountain does not offer accommodations, but there are a number of options about 15 minutes away in downtown Los Alamos. Click here to view options.
Where to Start. Whether you’ve purchased your tickets online or need to buy a ticket, start by stopping by the first floor of the Main Lodge. Ticket windows face outside the lodge. Inside, you can pick up rental equipment.
On-Mountain Eats. In the upper level of the new lodge at the base area, you’ll find Pajarito Mountain Cafe. Choose from a variety of New Mexico-inspired entrees, including one of the best green chile cheeseburgers in the region. Breakfast service starts at 8:30 a.m. Lunch service starts at 11 a.m. And don’t miss the giant cookies.
Famous Fall Line. Pajarito Mountain is known for having the best fall line in the state, and locals will tell you that the legendary black diamond bump run series—The Fab Four—is beyond compare. See our trail map
